Module 1 Reflection

For me, the hardest part in Module 1 was definitely the figures. I had no prior experience making figures or captions, so it was really difficult for me to know what exactly was important and what wasn’t. I definitely see the progress I have made in the conciseness of my captions and titles. Office hours are great and really helped clear up a lot of confusion I had on the assignments!
I also really enjoyed Mod 1 because a lot of the experiments that we did lined up really well with what I was learning in other classes, which really helped reinforce my understand of the material in all the classes. I think writing the Methods section was my favorite part because it was very straightforward, and the easiest place to start tackling the data summary. It was also very helpful to have my research question and abstract really hammered out because it helped me stay focused on what exactly my project was centered around and making sure that the information is was writing down was actually essential. Overall, I learned so much about writing and all the different experiments you can run (wowww soo many experiments).
It did feel really gratifying at the end of writing our Data summary to look back and see a cohesive story being told! I actually learned so much writing our data summary, because of the extra research we had to do. I think it’s important to take everything piece by piece and work on things as soon as possible, because not going to lie, it is a LOT of work.
Also, my partner is AMAZING. They were a great source of support and we worked really well together (they also helped me calm down when I thought I messed up the whole experiment hehe).
